Soprano Sofia Ardalan has appeared as guest artist with the Bloomington Symphony Orchestra singing Strauss’ Vier letzte Lieder, with the Dakota Valley Symphony and Chorus for Handel’s Messiah, and as soprano soloist in Verdi’s Requiem with the Minnesota Youth Symphonies and Minnesota Chorale. In 2016 she sang with the BSO as Gerhilde in Wagner’s Die Walküre and in 2020 she was guest soloist with DVS for Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony. She has sung recitals and concerts in Austria and Germany, where a reviewer said “with her beautiful legato and elegant tone, her expansive breath control and commanding stage presence, this American soprano is world class.” Ms. Ardalan has presented numerous art song programs locally and internationally, including a concert of Sibelius songs in the composer’s birth home in Finland, where she was praised for her “dramatic interpretations.” Ms Ardalan studied voice with Oksana Bryn and Audrey Stottler, with additional training at the Lotte Lehmann Akademie in Perleberg, Germany.

Pianist Thomas Bartsch pursues and active career as a free lance musician. Tom accompanies numerous auditions and recitals and has appeared with the Schubert Club, Thursday Musical, Minnesota Fringe Festival and many other venues. He is the staff accompanist/coach at Carleton College in Northfield, MN as well as at Augsburg University in Minneapolis. In addition, Tom is the organist at Temple of Aaron Synagogue in St. Paul and St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in Roseville.
Since receiving her Master’s degree in 2013, Aja has performed with many regional orchestras and is currently concertmaster of the East Metro Symphony Orchestra and section leaderin the Sioux City Symphony Orchestra. Her orchestral experiences have given her the opportunity to share the stage with performers like Leila Josefowicz, Audra McDonald, and Gil Shaham. Aja is a faculty member at the Saint Paul Conservatory of Music, an Artist Member of Thursday Musical, and can be found on Instagram @violiningaja.
In an effort to make classical music more fun and approachable, Aja started a podcast called Pour Me A Mozart. The show combines her bartending background with her passion for sharing classical music. Pour Me A Mozart is available wherever you find podcasts.
While orchestral playing is the focus of her career, Aja also performs with the Cuban jazz group Charanga Tropical. In June 2015 she traveled to Havana, Cuba with the group to become the first band from the US to participate in the International Danzon Festival.
If she is not making music you can find Aja with her two cats, Dexter and Cindy Lou Who, cooking vegetarian meals, mixing craft cocktails, and attempting to keep her plants alive.
Allyson is an active freelance French Horn teacher and performer in the Twin Cities. She plays in many diverse settings with local orchestras, bands and brass ensembles. She is especially excited to be a part of the Minnesota Horn Quartet and Resinosa Brass.
Allyson has an active teaching studio of students of all ages and playing abilities. She has over 10 years of teaching experience and has developed her teaching skills over that time. She now has a large studio with locations in Minneapolis, Plymouth, Hastings and Inver Grove Heights.
Allyson has a master’s degree from McGill University, and a Graduate Performance Diploma and Bachelor’s degree in horn performance from the Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University. In addition to her studies at McGill and Peabody, Allyson also studied with Denise Tryon, teacher at Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music, and Rene Pagen.
Music is a creative activity that makes us imagine a better world in order to create it. Amos believes that the experience of a live performance can touch our consciousness and change the way we look at the world, thus making us better human beings.
Amos is completing a Doctor of Musical Arts program in Piano Performance at the University of Minnesota under the guidance of the Professor Alexander Braginsky.
Regarded as one of the most outstanding young Mexican musicians, Amos Lucidi has performed extensively as a soloist and in chamber groups in Mexico, Italy, France, the United Kingdom and the United States, participating in important festivals.
Amos’ solo repertoire comprises a wide range of authors from the Baroque to the 20th-century music, especially focusing on late Russian composers as Scriabin, Rachmaninov, and Prokofiev. He frequently includes music from the Mexican composers, such as Manuel M. Ponce and José Rolón, in his recitals.
