March 2023
This Sunday afternoon, March 26th 2023 @ 3p, Mark Countryman is honored to collaborate with three other much younger professional and exceptionally talented singers, Minnesota Opera Company Dramatic Tenor James Pike, and Maire Clement along with her husband Davey Harrison, of the Husband/Wife folk duo The Boston Imposters, for what we are billing as An Afternoon of Song.
The venue is Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, on 54th St and 12th Avenue South in South Minneapolis, and the occasion is just for the heck of it. The music is a diverse mixture of classical and contemporary art songs, American folk music, and African-American spirituals. And we just so happen to have a special person as host/emcee for the program, a well-recognized voice on Classical MPR. To find out who it is, well, you’ll need to show up!
I would be honored by your presence. And of course, there is no admission; it is, after all, just for the fun of it. Here is a little blurb about it in the Events section of OLP’s website:
