Diversity, equity, and inclusion

Thursday Musical is an organization of classical musicians and supporters of classical music who champion local music, recognizing that music is essential to our shared humanity and forms an essential bond of our life together.

We join with the many arts organizations in the Twin Cities to uphold principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion in all that we do. As musicians and as supporters of the arts, we are enriched by the presence of one another and when we are separated, we are impoverished.

We are committed to a diversity represented by active inclusion. This includes race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, socio-economic status, education, and religion. This inclusivity will be reflected on our stages, in our programming, and in our audiences, whether that be on a formal concert stage, an intimate home setting, or a retirement facility.

We will strive to come together, now and in the following seasons of our musical life, to listen and to grow more and more as a welcoming and inclusive arts organization.

The Salon Series is the heart of Thursday Musical’s subscription community. Members of Thursday Musical, twice a year, open their homes to season subscribers for an intimate “salon-style” concert experience.

Community Concerts are hosted by our partner organizations which range from community art centers, churches, to assisted living homes.
