Libby Laufers is a diverse musician having received her Bachelors of Music degree from the University of Minnesota and her Masters of Music from University of Missouri-Kansas City. She has been involved on the boards of several musical organizations in the Twin Cities, including the Upper Midwest Flute Association and the Suzuki Association of Minnesota as well as serving as a judge for Thursday Musical. Currently, Libby teaches flute, piano and organ from her home in Minnetonka and is the organist at Our Savior Lutheran in Excelsior. She and her husband, Jason Hernandez (also a Thursday Musical performer) recently welcomed their first child in December.
Carolyn Diamond, active as both pianist and pipe organist, performs regularly on concert series and in salon settings. As a recitalist, she has been praised for her buoyant style and interpretive vigor, and has the reputation of delivering passionate, colorful, and enthusiastic performances. Selections from her CD of piano music, Scandinavian Suite (also on Spotify), have been played on Minnesota Public Radio/American Public Media and some of her performances featured on Pipedreams.
Ms. Diamond has been a frequent performer at the TCU/Van Cliburn Piano Institute in Texas where she was a winner of their Piano Concerto Competition, performing with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra. She is active as a member of several professional organizations: TCAGO (Twin Cities American Guild of Organists) having served on the Executive Board as well as several committees; Friday Club (a local group of professional women musicians); and is an Artist Performer and Executive Board Member of Thursday Musical.
Additionally, she has created a salon series called MUSE….Music Uniting Spirits Everywhere, intended to promote music of multi styles and genres to spread good will and reinforce human connection. Having been a church musician since high school, she has served several congregations as Director of Music/Organist and Musician in Residence at large congregations here in the Twin Cities, and while living in NYC for a dozen years, she also served congregations in the NY/CT area.
She and her husband, Alan, have three children, four grandchildren, and when not traveling the globe, enjoy a full life with family, friends, and their two cats, Aria and Sienna!
Saint Paul based pianist Amos Lucidi is a dedicated musician renowned for his belief in music's transformative potential. Holding a Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance from the University of Minnesota, under the guidance of Professor Alexander Braginsky, Amos is deeply committed to his creative practice and its impact on individuals and communities.
With over 26 years of experience, Amos has completed two master's degrees in piano performance—one in England and another in Italy. His diverse educational experiences have enriched his understanding of music and shaped his artistic vision.
As an active performer, Amos's repertoire spans from Baroque to contemporary, with a particular focus on works by Mexican composers such as Manuel M. Ponce, José Rolón and José Pablo Moncayo. He sees music as a catalyst for positive change and strives to promote Mexican musical heritage through his performances.
Additionally, Amos serves as a faculty member at the Laurel School of Music and Cyprus Classical Academy, where he imparts his knowledge and passion to his students. He believes in the importance of nurturing the next generation of artists and fostering a deeper appreciation for music within the community.
Amos' dedication to developing his creative practice is evident in his ongoing pursuit of musical excellence and his commitment to sharing the transformative power of music with others.
