Singing has been a part of Mark Countryman's life since his freshman year of high school in 1976, at the former Crosier Seminary in Onamia MN. Mark sang at St. John's University with the CSB/SJU Chamber Choir under the direction of Dr. Axel Theimer, and at the College (now the University) of St. Thomas, in the CST/CSC Chorale, directed by the late Dr. Maurice Jones. Mark is active in the Twin Cities choral music community, on the rosters of Singers In Accord and The Minnesota Chorale. He also serves as a volunteer church cantor at Our Lady of Peace and Annunciation Catholic Churches in South Minneapolis. A past MacPhail student, Mark holds an AFA in music from Normandale Community College,and a Master's Certificate in Theory & Harmony from Berklee College of Music. He currently studies voice with Teresa Tierney.
Barbara Kennedy has been employed as a church musician since sixth grade, piano teacher since 1981, and free-lance accompanist in South Bend, Duluth, and the Twin Cities. She currently teaches piano in her home studio in St Paul to students of every age. She holds a national certification (NCTM) through the Music Teachers National Association. She is also an active member of Minnesota Music Teachers Association and its local St Paul affiliate, having served on the board for nine years. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of St Catherine, where she studied with Mary Ann Hanley, herself a longtime performing member of Thursday Musical. She also studied with Paul Freed at the University of Minnesota. She is completing a Master of Arts in Music Education/Piano Pedagogy at the University of St Thomas, under the direction of Vanessa Cornett-Murtada.
Dragan Stojkovic is a native of Belgrade, Serbia, where he received a bachelor of Music degree at the Music Academy. He holds a Doctor of Musical Arts and a Master of Music degrees in violin performance from the University of Minnesota. Dragan has been a violin and viola teacher and a freelance violinist for over twenty years in the Twin Cities. He currently teaches at home, and is a violin instructor at Normandale Community College. Locally he has performed with the Minnesota Opera, Vocal Essence, Minnesota Sinfonia and other ensembles.
