Dedrick Flute Duo
Polly Meyerding teaches in her home and is the Director of the Summer Flute Intensive and Fling. She has taught flute and conducted the Falcon Flute Choir at UW-River Falls. Formerly President of the Upper Midwest Flute Association, she has conducted the Honors Flute Choirs at Flute Fests. Among other things, she has performed in festivals in Europe and played with the Minnesota Orchestra, Minnesota Opera, Minnesota Dance Theatre, and many other organizations locally. She and her husband are the Dedrick Flute Duo and play with cello as the Monarch Trio. She is also a member of the Arabesque Trio which is flute, cello and harp.
Russell Dedrick studied at the Manhattan School of Music and directed the New Music Ensemble at Mannes School of Music in New York. He played in the Orquesta del Estado de Mexico, in Toluca, Mexico, for two seasons. Locally, he has performed with the Minnesota Orchestra, VocalEssence and many other orchestras and chamber music groups, including the Dedrick Flute Duo and Monarch Trio.
Dragan Stojkovic is a native of Belgrade, Serbia, where he received a bachelor of Music degree at the Music Academy. He holds a Doctor of Musical Arts and a Master degrees in violin performance from the University of Minnesota. Dragan has been a violin and viola teacher and a freelance violinist for almost twenty years in the Twin Cities. He currently teaches at home, and is a violin instructor at Normandale Community College. Locally he has performed performed with the Minnesota Opera, Vocal Essence, Minnesota Sinfonia and other ensembles.
