Performer Information
Mark Countryman has been singing since he was a high school freshman at Crosier Seminary, in Onamia, Minnesota, 1976. At St John’s University, Mark sang in the CSB/SJU Chamber Choir under Axel Theimer, and at the University of St Thomas he sang in the CSC/CST Chorale under the late Dr. Maurice Jones. Dr. Jones instilled in Mark a special love of the choral art. He has sung with several church and community choirs, and is currently on the active roster with the Minnesota Chorale. He also serves as a volunteer cantor for Annunciation and Our Lady of Peace Catholic Churches in South Minneapolis. He has an Associate of Fine Arts Degree in vocal performance from Normandale College, and is completing an On-Line Master’s Certificate in Theory, Harmony and Ear Training from Berklee College of Music. Mark is a husband and father of two grown children.
Beth Blackledge, flute, originally from Iowa, graduated from Drake University. She is the principal flutist for St. Paul Civic Symphony. She has appeared as soloist for Thursday Musical, Upper Midwest Flute Association, the Des Moines Symphony and the Palo Alto Chamber Orchestra. She is a private flute teacher in the Twin City Area.
