Performer Information
Adrienne Johnson, piano, was a student of the late and great Adele Marcus. She completed her studies at the Juilliard School and went on to an illustrious career raising 4 boys. Her dream was to be a great mother. Now that her children are adults her new dream is to enjoy the piano. This is her first performance for Thursday Musical and she is very excited to be a part of this wonderful organization.
Mark Countryman, baritone, has been singing since he was a high school freshman at Crosier Seminary, in Onamia, Minnesota, 1976. At St John’s University, Mark sang in the CSB/SJU Chamber Choir under Axel Theimer, and at the University of St Thomas he sang in the CSC/CST Chorale under the late Dr. Maurice Jones. Dr. Jones instilled in Mark a special love of the choral art. He has sung with several church and community choirs, and is currently on the active roster with the Minnesota Chorale. He also serves as a volunteer cantor for Annunciation and Our Lady of Peace Catholic Churches in South Minneapolis. He has an Associate of Fine Arts Degree in vocal performance from Normandale College, and is completing an On-Line Master’s Certificate in Theory, Harmony and Ear Training from Berklee College of Music. Mark is a husband and father of two grown children.
