Ona Pinsonneault retired from Normandale Community College after having taught Music Theory and Ear Training there for many years. She holds a D.M.A. in clarinet performance from the University of Minnesota where she studied with John Anderson. She currently performs with the Normandale Concert Band and the OTL Clarinet Quartet and writes a column for Clapper Chatter, the newsletter of Area VII Handbell Musicians of America. Dr. Scotty Horey (B.A., M.M.A., D.M.A.) (USA) is a passionate and versatile percussionist, solo artist, and teacher based in the twin cities. He performs locally, nationally and internationally as a solo percussion artist, a percussionist for hire, and is a drums/percussion teacher of all levels: children, teen, college level, and adult students. He is currently Assistant Professor/Lecturer of Percussion at the University of Minnesota-Morris, Principal Percussionist of the Mankato Symphony Orchestra, and an active solo performer and clinician as a SABIAN endorsed artist and VIC FIRTH endorsed artist. His strongest passions in music and teaching include classical music, contemporary-classical music, jazz/fusion, solo marimba, mind/body """"holistic"""" awareness, and cross cultural understanding, specifically with Latin American countries, where he has become prolific in recent years as a guest artist/teacher.
Notable engagements as featured solo artist include the Marimba 2010 International Festival and Conference, the First Annual International Festival of Percussion Ensembles of Costa Rica, the Federal University of Uberlandia International Percussion Festival in Brazil, the 13th International Percussion Festival Patagonia in Argentina, the 10th International Percussion Festival of FOJI in Santiago de Chile, and the International Percussion Festival Salvador, Brazil, as well as universities and classical concert series around the twin cities area.
