Performer Information



Flutist Claudia Schnitker studied flute and piano at the Oberlin Conservatory. She is currently principal flute in the Linden Hills Chamber Orchestra , plays in a wind quintet (The Nokomis Quintet) , the Triple Play Trio (flute/cello/piano) and the Bach By Two flute/piano duo. A member of Thursday Musical, Mu Phi Epsilon music fraternity, and Upper Midwest Flute Association, she founded and directed the Edina Community Education flute choir program. In addition to local freelancing, she maintains a private teaching studio. She has also lectured on flute acoustics at George Washington University.


Nancy Paddleford is Professor of Music at St. Olaf College. Her principal teachers of piano were György Sebök and Bernhard Weiser, and in chamber music, Joseph Gingold, Janos Starker and William Primrose. Active as solo and chamber recitalist in the United States, Europe, and Central America, Paddleford has performed in all major regions of the U.S. She has been a judge at numerous musical competitions, including the first international piano competition held within Central America.
